Trunk Club Try-On Overview
I signed up for Nordstrom’s Trunk Club a few months ago because as a new mom I was finding it hard to get out of the house to shop, I love the convenience of shopping from home but I don’t love committing to clothes before I try them. Trunk club in a nutshell is Nordstrom’s in-home styling service; much like Stitchfix, you pay a $25 styling fee which gets put towards what you end up purchasing, but if you’re Nordstrom card holder the styling fee is waived, yasss!!
I also love that you can choose how often you receive your box – monthly, bimonthly, seasonally or even every so often when you feel like it! Since I am a cardholder and I’ve had various upcoming events to shop for so I chose the monthly box when I signed up. The best thing is I can try before I buy in the comfort of my own home. Plus I love how flexible and user-friendly the service is.
Another perk is that you can be as involved or as uninvolved as you want. You can request specific items, brands or “themes” (think ‘ath-leisure wear,’ ‘beach vacation’ or ‘business casual’) or you can just leave it totally up to your stylist. When you first sign up they have you take a quiz in order to get to know your style, I found this was so helpful and spot on!
The Perks
- Try-on in the comfort of your home
- No commitment – stop and restart your trunk as you please
- One-on-one styling advice and unlimited chatting with your stylist via the website or app
- Budget friendly (talk to your stylist about your personal budget)
- Choose when your trunk is delivered
- When it’s time to return the items you’re not keeping you can schedule a UPS pick-up at your house. Talk about convenience!!
- Only $25 styling fee OR waived for Nordstrom Cardholders
- Easy to use app or website log-in
My stylist Kelsey has been killing it lately with my trunks, she even sent over some outfit ideas pairing some of the pieces I’ve kept from previous trunks with new pieces in this latest one. I love that she lets me preview the items before they ship as well. I have opt-ed out of a few pieces I knew were just not for me and Kelsey replaces them right away with new options.

My stats for reference: I am 5’8″ 155lbs/usually a medium/size 6-8/size 28-29 in jeans

Madewell overalls, Free People Flutter Sleeve Tee and Free People Flats
Overalls are an investment piece but I get the hype! They are amazing because they fit well on any body type, and the denim is super stretchy! Wearing a size L but exchanging for a M, go TTS.
BP Top and Levi Cut-Offs
Loved the ruffle detail and linen feel to this top! A little boxy but go TTS
Madewell Henley Tee, Blank NYC Jeans and Free People Flats
Wearing a medium in the tee, fits TTS. I got the jeans during the anniversary sale, they are also TTS
Free People Button Down and Madewell Jeans
Beautiful crocheted shirt, just not my style! Wearing a small, size down one!! I did not love the fit of these jeans, they are baggy around the ankles, however, I am wearing one size up from my normal.
Willow & Clay Ruffle Dress and Michael Kors Wedges
Kept this dress! Nursing friendly, faux wrap, not as short as pictured. Wearing a medium, fits TTS
Free People Tee and Levi Cut-Offs
Loved this tee! Not that I need another tee haha but I keep it. Go TTS
Madewell Tie Front Tee, Blank NYC Jeans, Madewell Mules
Obsessed with top! Go TTS. The mules are not for me but are really nice quality.
Madewell Denim Romper and Free People Flats
LOVED this romper! Its super stretchy and cute for late summer/early fall. Wearing a large here but exchanging for a medium, go TTS
Felt frumpy in this style, but it comes in a bunch of colors/patterns. I just don’t love the midi-length on myself but could see how it would be a cute option, especially for Fall! Wearing my normal size here.
Trunk Club Shoes
The real Free People flats are on the left and the Universal Thread dupes from Target are on the right. SO similar! The quality difference is big BUT for $33 the dupes are incredible. I bout the Universal Thread ones a few months back and I am keeping the Free People ones because I have been eyeing them for a while, they are super versatile and I LOVE this color!
Obsessed with these. I’ve had the previous version for years and worn them into the ground, they can be dressed up or down and are insanely comfy!! Fit TTS
