My Motherhood Story Continues…
Last month for our September session with Victoria from My Motherhood Story we traveled upstate to my friend’s beautiful flower farm. It’s about an hour north of us so we left work a bit early. Luckily Luca slept most of the way! We arrived just before sunset, the best time for photos. Alex went to meet Luke to get a mini tour while I finished up feeding Luca in the car.
I was SO excited to shoot with My Motherhood Story at a real flower farm.
it is my dream to grow flowers as beautiful as Luke’s one day. Ever since I did the Floret workshop out in Washington state I have wanted to grow and arrange flowers. Tiny Hearts (what a darling name right!?) is exactly my dream – run by a young family, acres of beautiful blooms for wholesale and their own arranging services. Don’t get me wrong, coming from a farming business I know exactly how much work it is to farm. But I can’t get this dream out of my head and I hope one day I too can have acres and acres of lush blooms!
Our photographer, Victoria, arrived shortly after I finished feeding Luca and we headed out to the beautiful zinnia fields. There were thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands, of flowers. It was a literal dream! I had originally wanted to go for dahlia season but it was a rough year for that crop, unfortunately (too wet). Luke was nice enough to cut some of the few dahlias he had for us to use in the shoot.
They were absolutely incredible as you can see!
We shot for an hour or so. As always, Luca was a trooper. He is also a HAM if I might add! I think he is a natural born model. Or maybe he’s just used to it because I always have the camera in his face LOL! The photos came out exquisitely. Victoria is the most amazing photographer I have ever worked with and to have a backdrop of literally the most beautiful flower farm just made for photo shoot perfection.
I hope you enjoy these photos below, they are all the work of Victoria at My Motherhood Story. They inspire me so much to go after my flower farming dreams and to encourage Luca to go after his dreams in his life as well, whatever that may be!
