How to Wear a Ruched Dress 5 Easy Ways

This ruched dress by Leith is a serious wardrobe staple for me! It is so versatile and can even fit a bump even though it’s technically non-maternity. I scooped mine up last year at Nordstrom and have worn it countless times. The ruching is also GREAT for camouflaging the postpartum mom belly but is honestly flattering on every and all body types! Today I am showing you a few of my favorite, easy ways to style this dress with items you probably already have in your closet. And if not, I got you covered! I am linking everything below, plus some affordable dupes of the more expensive items!

I even found a few Amazon dupes of the Leith dress! I haven’t personally tried them, but they have 400 4 star reviews and are half the price!! They are linked at the very bottom of this post!

Don’t mind the mess haha! This is what a try-on looks like while trying to entertain your toddler. For this look, I just wrapped a simple striped tee around my waist and threw on my Converse. Super casual and easy, great for a busy mom on the go!

Ruched Dress Style 2

This is a slightly more dressed up look but still classic and casual. I am wearing my Madewell Ryder cardigan and Free People asymmetrical sandals but have linked some cheaper dupes!

Ruched Dress Style 3

This would be my girls’ day brunch or baby/bridal shower look with the ruched dress – linen moto jacket (this is old but I am linking similar), Michael Kors espadrille wedges and a clutch or wristlet. I like the lightweight jacket and how it hits at the waist, and any type of espadrille would be perfect for spring and summer!

These wedges are my HOLY GRAIL wedges though. I have owned them foreverrr (6 years) and not that I wear heels often but when I do these are pretty much all I wear and they NEVER hurt. I’ve linked a super similar, cheaper pair from Target but cannot speak to their comfort! In my opinion, these Michael Kors oneway way worth the investment!

Ruched Dress Style 4

Here I just switched up the lightweight linen moto jacket for my suede Blank NYC one and the wedges for some simple sandals. Love this look for date night! The jacket fits me TTS (wearing a medium), but I have heard from some it runs a bit small so size up if you are between sizes!

Ruched Dress Style 5

Haha the grand finale! Luca was over the try on at this point but super simple last option – throw on a light sweater, or even t-shirt, over the dress and make a side know so the hem is just above your stomach. Its even cuter with a preggo belly!
