AT-HOME SELF CARE IDEAS

We all need some TLC now more than ever. Keeping a healthy mindset requires self-care. Whether that looks like a glass of wine, movie night, or some meditation – it’s important to keep up self-care and treat it as a necessity. I wanted to share a few of my favorite ways that I take care of myself! You can also read a blog post I wrote earlier this year, detailing why and how I’m focusing on my mental health this year.

HAIR + FACE MASKS

I love throwing a face mask on once a week and moisturizing my hair every few weeks. My favorite masks are below!

YOGA + MEDITATION

This maybe has been my the best way I’ve helped my mental state in recent times. Yoga and meditation go hand in hand and they both help so much with the mindset and self-care internally. I love to journal during or after meditation to help get my thoughts going and to look back and see how far I’ve come.

WINE + MOVIE NIGHT/BUBBLE BATH

Mamas out there, this one is for you. A glass of wine and a bubble bath is one of my favorite ways to take some much needed me-time. I usually hop in the tub once Luca is in bed and relax for an hour! I feel so rejuvenated and ready for the next day.

SOCIAL MEDIA BREAK

I recently took an extended amount of time away from the news, emails and social media. WOW! It made such a huge difference on my mindset and I’m able to focus my energy much more intentionally now. The sad reality is that there is so much negativity on social media and the news, you don’t realize until you take a break from it.

ORGANIZE

I love to take an afternoon and organize a certain area – like bathroom drawers or the laundry room. With all of us inside day in, day out, having a clean home helps ease my to-do list. I spend a lot of time in the living room and kitchen, which is where I’ve been “attempting” to keep organized. With Luca home during the day, it’s never perfect, and that’s okay. I’m keeping it as simple as possible and it seems to help!
