Nordstrom Sale Time!!!!
Ok, guys! Excited to bring you my first sale post featuring my picks from the 2018 Nordstrom Anniversary sale! There is an overwhelming amount of really amazing items on sale right now so I’ve tried to break it up into categories to make it a little less daunting!
I did a fitting room try-on session on July 12th when the sale went live for early access and then I also made a few orders throughout the week. You could say I got A LOT of stuff, mainly because my Fall/Winter wardrobe needed a major refresh (I didn’t shop at all last year due to being in the middle of my pregnancy!). I am so excited about everything I got so far and I will also link to a few pieces that were on my list but that I held back from. Can’t have it all!!
A note about my sizing, I am 5’8″ and about 155-160lbs. right now (five months postpartum). I usually wear a medium but am more of a medium/large than a small/medium. In denim, I am usually a 6 or 8, or 29. Still losing a little bit of baby weight so these are my current sizes! I am curvy/hourglass shape, 34DD in a bra and my hips are wide as well. I also have broad shoulders (swimmer life) and wider feet (size 9 in shoes).
Outfit details are linked at the bottom of each photo/blurb, just scroll left or right and click on any image to shop!

My Top Picks and Some Outfits
This winter coat! An investment piece that I will wear for seasons to come, the material is flexible and light but warm at the same time, I LOVE the drape collar, fits comfortably with room to spare in a medium, I wouldn’t want it any looser or tighter!
I go into more detail below on this moto jacket, the cardigan, the jeans, and booties but they are definitely top picks of mine! I would also keep them all as part of a capsule collection for sure!
The cardigan of all cardigans! I got this Barefoot Dreams cardigan (left) last year when I was pregnant and literally LIVED in it over the winter, it even came with me to the hospital when I had Luca because I think it became sort of a security blanket! It is the softest material I’ve ever felt (all BD stuff is!) and it has just the right amount of bounce for beautiful draping (it looks boxy on the model in the photo online but I assure you it is not!). So versatile and can transition through all seasons. I am wearing the L/XL but the only other option is S/M so size down if you can!
The Spanx faux leather leggings are EVERYTHING. I got these right after I had Luca (not on sale!) and lived in them for my first few months postpartum because they made me feel human again. Super slimming (as you would expect from Spanx), high waisted and the faux leather is a classy faux, not obnoxious! I love that you can dress them up or down. I went with a large in these, they were super tight when I was wearing them 1-2 months pp but now they fit great, still tight but not uncomfortable.
The Try-On Session
This sweater is one of my top picks! Lightweight and flowy, I love the bell sleeves and the high-low front/back. Would be great in the summer with a pair of cut-offs or in the fall with denim and booties! I sized up for a baggier feel. Also, these jeans I’m wearing in every photo are AMAZING. High-waisted, raw-edge hem at the bottom AND under $60! They fit TTS!
I am LOVING this light mauve color for fall! Scooped up these two flattering light-weight sweaters in my normal size!
Give me all the plaid shirts for fall!
These all go great with the shorter booties or tall ones as well, I unbuttoned the bottom few buttons and tied the front for a fun look. You could also layer under a cardigan on cooler days. They would also look great tucked in! All fit me TTS (medium).
OBSESSED with these two pairs of booties I scooped up! I’m not one for heels so these are perfect and give you just the right amount of oomph! I love the detailing on the Vince Camuto ones (left) and the color! The BP ones (right) have a very slimming shape, the top part is floppy but stands up nicely also. And check out that raw edge on the jeans! LOVE! Wearing a 9 in both and they are VERY comfy.
This Madewell cardigan deserves it’s own post!
It. Is. EVERYTHING. Seriously. Couldn’t be more obsessed – it checks all the boxes – soft, slightly stretchy, has pockets, is the perfect length (covers the butt), comes in a bunch of colors (although this one is my favorite!). It is pure perfection and I highly recommend investing, this will be a staple in my wardrobe for years to come! Wearing a size Medium.
These are my other cardigan shoutouts, all amazing for different reasons, wish I could have them all! But alas I cannot. TopShop Cardigan (1) fits large, size down one. Free People (2) I am wearing the M/L size, Treasure & Bond (3) I’m wearing a medium and Leith (4) I am wearing a medium, size up if you want a looser fit!
These two coats are gorgeous! I am a huge fan of the drape collar style and went home with this one in a large (I didn’t want it too tight). And this Thread & Supply chunky fleece was so cozy and warm! I own something similar so I did not buy this one (have to have some self control right!?) Wearing a medium, also linked the pullover style below.
Holy molyyyyyy am I freaking obsessed with this jacket!!!
I don’t own anything like this and have never invested in a good moto. I don’t even know where to begin with this one! The color is a rich olive green, the suede feels like butter, its heavy and feels very high quality BUT is ONLY $125! It’s an investment for sure but I thought it was going to be $300 or something more up there! I am wearing a medium and it fits exactly how I’d like it to fit, excited to keep this in my capsule wardrobe for years to come! Sidetone – this bag was also super cute – great color and size for all seasons!
Can’t shop the #NSALE without picking up some workout gear! I have had my eye on Zella leggings for a while and was excited when I saw they were part of the sale! Wearing a medium and linking to a bunch of other color options!
The Zella top (first photo) is pretty and versatile, I would layer it under cardigans or jackets as well as working out in it. Normal size in that one. I sized up TWO sizes in the Nike tank because I like the looser fit in general and I also think it looks cute tied! The Zella tee (third photo) I am wearing a medium.
The Adidas sneakers are so cute and also come in pink, they slip on super easy, no need to tie!
Honorable mentions to the Adidas tank linked below, I own it in my normal size (no pic, I’m sorry!) and the Zella sweater and hoodie that I didn’t get to try on!
These two North Faces! I purchased the parka on the right because I have been wanting a longer winter coat FOREVER. Definitely get you normal size, there is more than enough room! (Don’t judge my outfit in that photo lol, I was super excited when it came in today and had to snap a quick pic!
Some basic tees for you!
Wearing a medium in all, the first one has the loosest fit and is only $12! They all come in a bunch of color options too and are great for layering or on their own! Also linking the lace cami I didn’t get to try on but ordered!
Obsessed with the wrap-style blouses! Went home with the one on the left, I thought it was very flattering on my curves, both fit TTS!
These camis are great to transition summer through fall and have such pretty detailing! It was hard to decide but I went home with the yoke top in the middle! It’s the most nursing friendly out of the three with its loose fitting bottom half. I was concerned these tops would be too tight because of my larger bust but all seemed to fit great in mediums. I would definitely opt for a bandeau bra to go underneath the low cut ones!
I was happy to see a few dresses part of the sale! I went home with the one on the left, the material is sweater-esque with a good amount of stretch. That paired with the wrap style and draping makes it very flattering on the curves! The wrap dress on the right was also very flattering, I just thought it was more of a spring/summer dress. Wearing both in a medium and they’re both affordable!
