5 Ways You Can Support Small Businesses Right Now

Small businesses are seeing the heartbreaking effect that COVID-19 has had on their businesses and I’m doing everything I can to lend my encouragement and support to them during this time. Even a simple review or purchase can make such a big difference! This is the time to stick together and join as a community, even if it’s from a distance. How are you lending your support?

SUPPORT ON SOCIAL MEDIA

This one is so easy and important! A lot of businesses now have Facebook or Instagram accounts. You’ll be able to follow updates and support from the comfort of your own couch!

BUY GIFT CARDS

Local businesses that don’t have the ability to sell products online are struggling during this time. I think we’ll all be needing some TLC after all of this, head to your favorite beautician or masseuse’s social media and buy some gift cards to utilize once quarantine is no longer mandatory!

LEAVE A REVIEW

Whether it’s on Facebook, Yelp, or their website – showing your support with a few words can make a huge difference in the mindset and success of a business! Take a few minutes out of your day to leave a few friendly comments on your favorite local and world-wide businesses.

SHOP ONLINE

So many businesses are having sales! You’re more likely to find a sale than not and even a small purchase will have a positive effect on your neighborhood shops. If you can, order online from your favorite boutiques and local businesses!

ORDER TAKE-OUT + TIP

I’ve seen dozens of restaurants and coffee shops offer take-out, but don’t forget to tip! Waitresses and waiters are not making as much due to self-isolation and just because it’s take-out doesn’t mean you shouldn’t tip. Supporting your local restaurants is so important and will give you a night off of cooking!
